Empress Maria Fedorovna, Alexander’s wife, and Nikolai’s mother, was the true icon of the late 19th century style. Her outfits were luxurious and tasty. The corsets, the underwear of the time, were a separate place in her love of fashion. It was tight in the morning and walked so hard all day, it made her fragile waist even more subtle. The project focuses on research and development of underwear, panthalon, and an Empress corset.
