The 3D scene is inspired by the illustration of the artist Felicia Chao, who explores the state of melancholy in her work, constant doubts about herself, loss, and attempts to find light. I found the idea of turning the flat world of illustrations into a scene where Chao’s anthropomorphic character takes shape and volume.

In designing the stage, it was important not only to keep the palette in the original reference illustration, but also to transmit the texture with the lung of grain, which is in the material on which the illustration is made.
