Серия Limen (от латинского — «порог») исследует состояние человека, застывшего в моменте ожидания перемен, которые, возможно, никогда не произойдут.
Город больших возможностей и бесконечного движения становится пространством внутреннего одиночества. Среди толп людей и искусственного света это чувство тщательно скрывается — как постыдная и бессмысленная слабость. Маленький человек растворяется в этом ритме, оставаясь наедине с собой среди тысяч таких же, как он. Из одиночества хочется вырваться, перейти границу между ожиданием и жизнью, но одного внутреннего импульса оказывается недостаточно.
Через геометрию естественного света и тени серия передаёт ощущение тихой тревоги и неопределённого ожидания. Работы вдохновлены эстетикой лиминальных пространств, книгой «Одинокий город» Оливии Лэнг и живописью Эдварда Хоппера, где городские сцены становятся метафорой изоляции и внутренней тишины.
