Concept

This project explores the consumer’s usual blindness by asking: What do we really know about the origin of the clothes we wear? The concept is based on the ethical dichotomy of modern fashion. The deconstruct of the classic wardrobe, in its form the memory of an industrial disaster, the «tragical geometry» of the collapsed building. The key gesture of the collection is to turn the back into a face. It is a literal and metaphorical act of transparency that exposes the stitches, structures and traces of production. The hidden thus becomes apparent, inviting a dialogue on responsibility, memory and informed choice.
