The concept of an exhibition
The exhibition tells us about the gradual dematerialization of Feininger’s creativity. The viewer moves through the exhibition from materiality to conditionalness, from tangible forms to elusive images. The exhibition is an ahromatic space in which lighting plays a major role in the formation of colour spots. Semi-translucent tissue, placed over the entire display, conveys even more the sense of the sensitivity of light and color relations in the painter’s paintings.
