I wanted to create a visualization of the emotion of strange admiration, when you seem to be pleasantly surprised, but some details seem strange and repulsive to you
The result was a series of three unusual accessories/face decorations based on the works of my favorite artist Suyao Tian

The author’s idea:
«As a child, I often caught all kinds of small bugs, put them in jars. I spoke to them, played with them, and they were the only listeners in my childhood. Now they become a symbol and language of my own.
My creative process is to extract the fragments of memory and separate, reorganize and integrate them»
To create the models, I analyzed the original works and identified the main details:
- Spines, which are located too close to the eyes and threaten vision
- Blocks, which attach to a vital organ, limiting its function
Since the jewelry can be created from lightweight porcelain for molding and baking at home, it will easily adhere to the face due to the safe stage glue, which is often used in photo shoots and makeup
They are all approximately the same size and are made based on the main idea — a strange admiration, bordering on discomfort, that arises at the first glance
