«Mixings. An exhibition on lucky coincidences and coincidences» is an exhibition dedicated to the 30-year anniversary of the lower city campus of INA. Leitmotive of the exhibition — Lower Novgorod as a place of interlocking ideas, rivers, and destinies. To unlock the potential of this design, we have created a suitable Identifier.
We spent a month looking for an image that would fully reflect the idea of an exhibition, and we stopped at the bar code. The Strich code is a symbol that binds the different flows of width and importance that have been piercing the Lower and its entire history.
To divide the exhibition into meaning zones, we chose four colors from the city’s coat of arms and gave each color meaning. Red — rhymes and flights, yellow — character and encounters, green — nature, blue — lightning, black (strich code, composite image of the whole composition) — match
The poster series is based on color zoning, but here the idea continues in the symbols of Lower Novgorod, such as nature in local plants, and insight in local inventions. Colors taken from the city’s coat of arms
Posters
Posters. Increased scale
The visual language is based on a barcode: content is integrated into a vertical module, and colour stripes in certain sequences are used to maintain composition, continue the idea of barcodes and color zoning. The main (strong) font is the fully open and accessible «Oswald» as a very continuing idea of vertical flow (s) of barcodes, and «helps» it also open to commercial and personal use «TRI Grtsk».
Bunners
The ticket continues with the visual language of the exhibit, thus acting not only as an attribute of the passage to the exhibition but as a souvenir that will want to be remembered.

The badges contain photos, status and the name of the exhibit. Color separation is used to further highlight status.

The coincidences are the pleasant circumstances of an accidental species that merge into a single stream of naturally different elements at the right time. It’s not an accident, it’s a pattern of our world!
