I am Mariya Koryugina, an interior and environment designer from Moscow. I study at HSE University.I believe that a space can tell a story. I start every project with an idea and turn it into a journey for the people inside.I am most interested in public spaces like hotels, museums and schools. I redesigned the layout. I moved the entrance and the staircase and built a new scenario around them, inspired by Stanisław Lem’s novel

A hotel with its own story: guests experience the way from the entrance to the restaurant as a journey, not just a walk through corridors

QUIET SWAMPS

Two levels, two worlds
PROBLEM
An outdated design and concept: the exhibition doesn’t engage visitors or tell the story of the place
SOLUTION
A new concept, with the swamp as a border between two worlds, and a new layout

RESULT
The museum became a journey: visitors walk along a wooden path between facts and legends, and the space itself guides them through the exhibition
