Yutori is a retrit hotel whose concept is based on the Japanese notion of yutori, which is the inner space, the pause, and the state of unvolved tension. The project explores how architecture can create the conditions for deceleration and recovery by restoring the human sense of integrity through silence, the rhythm of space, and the connection to nature.
The hotel is located in the Bahchisaraya district of the Republic of Crimea.
South Crimea is situated in the same latitude as northern Japan, which creates similar conditions: soft winter, warm summer, and rich green vegetation. This makes Japanese style natural and organic in the Crimean landscape.
