The concept. The introductory part
When participating in the «Shot on HUAWEI nova» contest, I set a few simple rules for myself: no pre-conceived concepts and no staged shots. It seemed to me that this was inappropriate when the goal was to capture a living moment.
I decided to become a photographer at an event of the Intellectual Games Club at the University of MISIS for one evening in order to put myself in an atmosphere of unpredictability, intellectual excitement and involvement in what is happening. What could inspire more than a real, lively evening filled with vivid emotions?
Thus, I moved chaotically around the room with my phone while the student teams talked, put forward theories, and were happy or upset when they found out the correct answer.
The concept. Specifics
In between rounds, I just spontaneously complimented the chairman of the Club. On the one hand, I just wanted to compliment the man on his work as an organizer and presenter. On the other hand, it became interesting at the moment to see how a person who regularly appears on stage in front of many eyes would react.
As a result, picking up the phone with the camera in time, it turned out to catch such a sincere and simple frame, where a person is smiling shyly and broadly, not for the sake of the photo, but on his own. Which is also proof that, despite the habit of attention from other people, the hero of the picture can still be touched by praise.
