«Larry»

«Larry» tells the story of a young man who works on a farm and lives with his abusive, alcoholic father, while dreaming of escaping his ordinary life, becoming famous, and pursuing a career as an artist. In my poster, I depict the sheep he is forced to herd in order to earn a living, while replacing the protagonist’s figure with a splash of paint. Surrounded by the sheep, this figure appears out of place, emphasizing his sense of isolation and his inability to belong to the world in which he lives. The poster also incorporates expressive scribbles and dynamic typography that reflect the protagonist’s anger and his emotional tension.

«White palms»

The poster for «White Palms» is built around a close-up of the protagonist’s face. The film explores the harshness of the sports system and the psychological pressure placed on children through intensive training. I convey this idea through the image of a crying child whose face gradually dissolves into a gradient, symbolizing the loss of individuality under constant physical and emotional strain. The typography references sports field markings, emphasizing that sport itself becomes the source of the protagonist’s suffering.

«On body and soul»

The central element of the poster is a custom typeface stylized as intertwined tree branches. Positioned on these branches are deer figures, a key symbol in the film, where the two protagonists meet in their dreams in the form of deer. I deliberately place the deer on opposite sides of the composition to emphasize the emotional distance and sense of isolation that separate the characters in their real lives. Despite the connection that exists between them, they remain divided by their personal struggles and their inability to establish meaningful communication with one another.

«Explanation for everything»

In my poster, I explore one of the film’s central ideas: how political and ideological debates gradually push the individual out of the spotlight. The fragmentation of the protagonist’s face and the prominence of the cockade emphasize how a symbol can become more important than the person it represents. By obscuring the protagonist’s face, the cockade visually demonstrates how public discussions about patriotism and political views overshadow his real emotions, experiences, and struggles. In this way, the poster reflects a situation in which politics becomes more important than the individual, and a seemingly harmless lie leads to consequences far more significant than the failure of the exam itself.

«Wild roots»

For this movie I created a series of posters, where I explore the theme of separation and loss of connection between a father and daughter, which is the central topic of «Wild Roots» itself. The faces of the two protagonists are fragmented into separate pieces, symbolizing the emotional distance between them and their inability to communicate and interact normally due to their family circumstances. At the same time, these fragments continue to overlap and interact with one another, creating a sense of unity. In this way, the poster reflects the duality of their relationship: although the characters are divided by life circumstances, they maintain a deep emotional bond that cannot be broken.
