This project presents an architectural image of a boutique hotel in the Zabaikal region inspired by the legend of the Rock of Love.
The Butik Hotel is located on the shore of Lake Arahley, the largest lake in the system of the Ivano-Arahley Lakes in the north of the Zabaikal region. The lake’s water has healing properties, beneficial to the skin and nervous system and contributing to the healing of minor damage. Arachle is a popular tourist destination that attracts about 150,000 visitors each year, and is rightly regarded as the natural pearl of Zabaikalia.
Concept
According to one legend, a young man and a girl who belonged to a hostile Evenkian birth once fell from the cliff. Only their death, which was a tragic symbol of genuine love, forced families to make peace. It is believed that lovers have remained together forever, turning into spirits that protect their love, one becoming a rock and the other becoming a river. This story, which conveys the idea of sacrifice and inseparable connection, has become particularly popular among tourists, particularly newlyweds, who come to such places to symbolically test their feelings.
This legend formed the basis for the shape formation of a hotel building, in which amorphic, plastic forms, wrapped in a detailed metal net and associated with a woman ' s way, are integrated into a laconic minimalized glass volume that represents a masculinity, sustainability and rationality.
Object geography
The boutik hotel is located on the shore of Lake Arahley, 77.5 km from the city of Chita. The road in a car takes less than 1.5 hours, thus providing easy transport accessibility and a sense of alien isolation.
