Adolphe Wolfley is an artist, a member of the Arbrum, who has not received an academic degree. He developed his unique style in the walls of Valdau’s psychiatric clinic, where he spent many years — from 1895 to death. Diagnosis — schizophrenia — has made his behavior aggressive, and being out of hospital is impossible, but it is his painfully troubled consciousness and unusual thinking that has given rise to amazing art worlds. For example, 1917's work is part of this grand authorial universe and a vivid example of Wolfley’s creativity.
